Lockleys Child Care and Early Learning Centre is an employer sponsored and privately operated, high quality early learning centre. The Centre is accredited at “Exceeding” the National Quality Standard.
Our Centre is an employer sponsored centre located on the grounds of Westpac Call Centre, away from main busy roads, and is situated within beautiful surroundings. The centre has a secure location, that is monitored by security 24 hours a day.
We believe that every child is a citizen with inherent rights from birth and we have a responsibility to make a positive difference for every child in our care.
Early childhood research has shown that in partnership with families, high quality early childhood services make a difference for very young children through the quality of the programs offered in their very early years.
Our curriculum is inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning and the value of children as competent learners from birth and co constructors of their own learning. The curriculum fosters citizenship within our Centre community and the wider community. It encompasses cultural competence and an appreciation of the heritage of the land and the connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander’s connection to the land.

Dear Families
It has been seven months since the new Child Care Subsidy started! It is a good time to check in on your family income estimate. Make sure it is up to date and reflects you and your partner’s income for the whole financial year.
If your estimate is lower than your actual income, you may get a debt, which you will have to pay back. It is also a good time to check and update your activity test if your circumstances have changed.
The easiest way to update your family income estimate is by using your Centrelink online account through myGov, or the Express Plus Centrelink app.
While you are there, do not forget to make sure your and your partner’s activity details are up to date too.

With this week being water week, the Preschool children devised a plan to create a river in the sand pit. The children worked together as a team to dig away the sand and line their river with foil to ensure the water didn’t sweep away. Together the children searched for branches and logs to line the sides of their river and finally they added animals!
This week we have been celebrating water fun week! It’s been cooler than expected but that has not stopped the children participating in water experiences including watering the gardens. This morning the children in the under 2’s washed the cars; our cars are now looking shiny!
