Dionne – Director
Qualification – Bachelor of Teaching (Primary), Diploma of Social Science (Child Care), Diploma in Management, Colleague Certificate in Marte Meo
I have worked in the Child Care Industry since 1993. I completed my Degree in Teaching straight from High School. I then moved into Child Care and have never left. I worked predominantly in the Preschool rooms of the different Centres that I worked in. I then moved to Lockleys in a completely different role, as the Director. I have been the Director of Lockleys since 2007. My passion for working with Children came at a very young age; my year 10 work experience placements were at a Primary School, I enjoyed it so much and I realised this is where my passion lies.
Kym – Assistant Director
Qualification – Certificate III in Child Care Services, Diploma of Children’s Services
I began my career as an Educator at Lockleys in 1996 as a relief Educator. As the centre grew I was offered a permanent position in the baby’s room this is when I gained my Certificate III in Child Care Services. After 6 years, I had a change and moved into the Pre-Kindy room this is where I was encouraged and supported by management to complete my Diploma in Children’s Services which I successfully completed. My new role then was Team Leader. Not long after receiving my Diploma I was promoted to Assistant Director. I am incredibly fortunate to have worked my entire career at Lockleys and to be a part of such a wonderful team that provide such high-quality care.
Sandra – Preschool Teacher
Qualifications – Bachelor of Arts/Teaching, Masters in Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary), Certificate III in Child Care Services and currently studying a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
I grew up in Sydney and commenced working with children in 2009. Since then, I completed my Bachelor of Arts/Teaching and Masters in Teaching (Early Childhood and Primary) at the University of Western Sydney. Upon moving to South Australia, I began working both as a Primary Teacher and an Early Childhood Teacher. Working in both educational settings has allowed me to develop my skills in preparing young children to enter a school setting. I look forward to facilitating the preschool children in their growth and development by supplying an enriched environment with engaging activities and materials for them to explore and learn from.
Paula – Educator and Administration Officer
Qualification – Certificate III in Children’s Services
I have been working in the Child Care Industry for 13 years. My main role is Administration and support for my colleagues. I have completed my Certificate III in Child Care Services which means I also enjoy time in the rooms as an Educator and watch with great delight as children explore and learn in their surroundings.
Paige – Educator
Qualification – Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care), currently studying Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching.
I have been working with children in early learning centres for the past five years. During that time I completed my Diploma , and I am now currently studying my Bachelor of Early Childhood externally through UNI SA. I am currently a team leader in the Pre-Kindy room, however I enjoy spending time with children across the centre.
Chanelle – Educator
Qualification – Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
I have been working in the Child Care Industry since 2015. During this time, I completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care through Tafe SA. I work with all age groups in the centre and am fortunate to watch the babies grow into unique young children by providing a rich and meaningful program.
Nicole – Educator

Tati – Educator
Qualification – Diploma of Children’s Services
I was born in Colombia, I’ve been living in Australia since 2009. I have a Diploma in Child Care and I’ve been at Lockleys since 2013. I work in the birth to 2-year age group. I’m very lucky to work and interact with babies and toddlers. I enjoy working in the room to support and observe their milestones that they develop throughout their time in my room.
Krystin – Educator
Qualification: Certificate III in Child Care Services
I have recently completed my study with Child Care Services Training and I enjoy each day as it is a new learning experience for both myself and the children within my care.
I chose this career as I love to work with children and help them discover and understand the fascinating world we live in.
I have a Swiss shepherd named Atari and he is my white fluffball that enjoys a run.
Outside of work I also teach primary school children and adults karate with my fiance, as well as listening to music and learning judo.
Lil – Educator
Qualification – Certificate III in Children’s Services
I have been working at Lockleys for over 10 years. I have attained my Certificate III in Child Care. I have been fortunate enough to work across the whole centre from birth to 5 years. I enjoy working with all the different age groups as I get to know all the children and spend time with them. My role is to assist Educators setting up experiences, observations and the day to day management of the room.
Asmita – Educator
Qualification – Certificate III in Children’s Services
I am from India and moved to Australia in 2010. I have completed the Certificate III in Children’s Services. I started my employment at Lockleys in 2013 and have been getting inspired by all the staff in the short time and since then I am glad to be a part of the Lockleys Child Care team. I love to be creative whilst engaging with the children. I can speak 3 languages Gujarati, Hindi and English.
Andrea – Educator
Qualification- Certificate III in Children’s Services
Hi my name is Andrea, I have been working at Lockleys for nearly 3 years. I have completed my Certificate III in Children’s Services. I have been working in the child care industry for 11 years now and have worked with all age groups. I enjoy all their different personalities.
Bek D – Assistant Director and Educational Leader
Qualification – Certificate III in Aged Care, Diploma of Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care).
I am a member of the Pre-Kindy team, the 2-3-year-old children. I have been working in early childhood since 2009. I have been a team leader at Lockleys for over 4 years. I also have a Certificate III in Aged Care but my passion is Early Childhood. I have undertaken a study tour of Reggio Emilia Italy to further my knowledge about the principles of Reggio Emilia. My educating style is influenced by Marte Meo and Reggio Emilia practices and I am also very passionate about supporting children’s learning in their natural outdoor environment.
Heather – Educator
Qualification – Certificate III in Early Childhood Education Care
I have 17 years’ experience working in the child care industry. I have been working at Lockleys for the past 14 years and hold a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I am currently working with the Birth to 2 years age group but I also have experience with children 2 – 5 years. I find my position very rewarding as I have a passion for working with children and their families to help them blossom and grow to their full potential. I enjoy building on my knowledge through attending regular workshops and training.
Kahla – Educator
Qualification – Certificate III in Children’s Services
I have been and Early Childhood Educator since 2012 and have worked at Lockleys for nearly 3 years in a casual capacity. This allows me the opportunity to move between all 3 age groups. I hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services.
Stella – Educator
Currently completing Certificate III in Children’s Services
Belinda – Nutritionist
Qualification – Advanced Certificate in Child Care, Diploma of Community Services (Child Care). I have worked in the Child Care Industry for approximately 18 years. I started out as a Qualified Child Care Educator and worked in that role for 10 years. I then had a break from the Industry for 7 years. I came back into child care to follow my passion for food. I have been the cook here at Lockleys for the past 8 years.
John Sarmento – Grounds person
I am committed to making sure that the children have a beautiful and inspiring outdoor environment and that the centre is maintained to a high standard.
