Lockleys Child Care and Early Learning Centre

Welcome to Lockleys Child Care & Early Learning Centre. Our service is proudly a privately, locally owned, and operated South Australian organisation providing quality early childhood learning in Lockleys and its neighbouring community. Our service caters for children from birth to 5 years, we have an onsite Education Department Universal Access Preschool Program, which is facilitated by two registered early childhood teachers by the Teachers Registration Board.

We believe we have a responsibility to make a difference for every child in our care. Early childhood research has shown that families and high-quality early childhood services can make a difference to very young children through the quality of the programs offered in their very early years. Reggio Emilia Inspired Child Care Curriculum

At Lockleys Child Care and Early Learning Centre, our programs are inspired by the principles of Reggio Emilia and value the child as co-constructors of their learning. This educational approach values the child as an individual who is respected, capable and a citizen with rights from birth.

The Reggio Emilia approach is an innovative and inspiring approach to learning, and our curriculum fosters citizenship within our centre community and the wider community. It encompasses cultural competence and an appreciation of the heritage of the land and the connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander’s connection to the land.

We have been selected as a Partner Service to deliver the South Australian Government’s new ‘Flying Start for kids’ 3-year-old Preschool Program, commencing from January 2026!
